VirtualBox 2.2.4: lanzada última versión de VirtualBox

Ya está disponible para descargar VirtualBox 2.2.4, la última versión de VirtualBox de SUN.

Sun xVM VirtualBox es un software de virtualización para arquitecturas x86 que pertenece a la empresa Sun Microsystems desde febrero de 2008 cuando ésta compró a la empresa que lo desarrolló, llamada innotek.

Por medio de VirtualBox es posible instalar sistemas operativos adicionales al anfitrión (el sistema operativo en el que instalaremos VirtualBox), a los que denominaremos como “sistemas invitados”, cada uno con su propio ambiente virtual. Por ejemplo, se podrían instalar varias y diferentes distribuciones de Linux en un VirtualBox instalado sobre Microsoft Windows XP o lo contratrio, hacer funcionar Microsoft Windows XP sobre ordenadores con sistema operativo Linux, y todo ello al mismo tiempo, de forma simultanea.
